FGI was awarded a contract for part of the project following a detailed audit of its Manchester production facility by English Architectural Glazing, appointed to provide glazing and external cladding for the project. Impressive infrastructure and production capability secured the contract for FGI, together with the ability to offer a HIAB delivery service.

IG units were provided from FGI’s Everseal range featuring the superior insulation and reliability of Thermo Plastic Spacer warm edge technology. Units up to 2m x 3.3m in size were assembled using 8.8mm Planitherm Ultra from Saint-Gobain and 6mm clear toughened glass. Ultra is an exceptional low-e glass with an optimum centre pane U-value of 1.1W/m2K with argon gas. It also combines high light transmission and free solar heat gain with a very neutral appearance.
