The latest in automated cutting capability at FGI was the installation, in 2014, of the new For.El Vertical Laminated Cutting Line– which was an upgrade of similar equipment in use for the previous 12 years.
With the growth in commercial glazing, laminated glass is becoming increasingly popular due to secure by design in IG and for acoustic reasons in partitioning. This acquisition has dramatically increased FGI’s laminated cutting facility to accommodate the increased demand.
In addition, the cutting facilities at FGI include Hegla jumbo cutting, the highly efficient Bystronic & Bottero cutting tables, all of which have on lined edge deletion. Specialised cutting for fire glass and multi laminates are produced on the Waterjet and saw.
